Questions
Can I continue to use Windows 10?
Yes. You do not need to upgrade to Windows 11. Microsoft will continue to support Windows 10 until October 14, 2025.
Will my device also get Windows 11?
You or we can use software to check whether your device is suitable for Windows 11.
How can I install Windows 11?
The installation will not be made available to everyone at the same time, but in waves. Errors can always occur during an upgrade, but if you would like to switch to Windows 11 in a controlled manner, we will be happy to support you. We create a backup of the system both before and after the installation and then clean your device so that all update packages are removed cleanly.
Does Windows 11 take up more disk space on my PC than Windows 10?
No. Windows 11 and Windows 10 require approximately the same amount of memory. However, additional storage space is required during the upgrade process. Windows will clean up this additional disk space about 10 days after the upgrade is complete.
However, only PCs that fulfill a long list of requirements will be considered. A comparatively new processor is required. These are the eighth generation Intel processors, Zen 2 chips from AMD and ARM 7 and 8 series chips from Qualcomm. This means that users of older systems with processors from Intel’s sixth or seventh generation and older AMD models are excluded from switching to Windows 11.
Users who cannot use Windows 11 with their machines will not suffer any disadvantages in the short term.
