17. December 2021The dark season is not popular with everyone. Many of the short days are foggy, rainy and cold. Unpleasant for some, perfect for others. The early onset of dusk offers criminals many opportunities to carry out their crooked activities under the cover of darkness. But are we defenceless against these perpetrators?
Prey prevented!
It sounds like a thriller. A burglar sneaks around the house looking for a way in. A little later he disappears, only to return shortly afterwards with a crowbar. He uses it to pry open the balcony door without hesitation. However, the burglar probably didn’t have the precautionary homeowner in mind, as he was able to follow what was happening on his smartphone in real time via the cameras and immediately informed the police. As soon as the burglar opened the door, he triggered the built-in alarm system. The shrill sound immediately sent the burglar fleeing. Although the police were unable to catch the fleeing perpetrator, a robbery with loot was prevented by the installed security systems – and the damage was thus reduced to a minimum!
Protected by security systems
This actually happened with one of our customers. About a year ago, we were able to equip his house with products from the “Somfy Protect” range without knowing that they would pay off immediately. The house was equipped with a series of cameras outside, motion detectors were installed inside and vibration-sensitive sensors were fitted to the windows. It sounds like Fort Nox, but it is usually a standard installation that offers very good protection. All devices can be controlled via cell phone, and services and data can also be stored in the cloud.
